• I prefer not to send designs ahead of time (to respect both of our time and because it is easier to discuss details in person rather than over email), but I am happy to try to accommodate if clients want to see their designs in advance. I appreciate and expect clear communication regarding your design through the consultation process.

We will go over the design together at the beginning of the appointment and make any small changes during that time. If I missed the mark and redesign is needed, we will reschedule the appointment. You are never required to get a design you aren’t happy with tattooed.

I quote an amount of time/number of sessions based on the design you’ve chosen. Please do not change your design idea last minute - a new design may require an additional consultation and deposit.

  • It depends on the image! If it’s something you’ve drawn or had drawn up for you, I’d be happy to adapt it into a tattoo for you. If it’s another artist’s work, whether an illustration or existing tattoo, I won’t replicate it exactly. We can work together to create a unique piece of artwork just for you.

  • Absolutely. Touch-ups are an important part of the tattoo process, and I offer a free touch up for up to six months after your appointment. The only exception to this is if the aftercare instructions have been blatantly not followed.

If you want a touch-up after the 6 month window, we can book you in at my hourly rate.

To request a touch-up, send an email with some pictures of your healed tattoo to info@mamatried.ca.

  • Unfortunately, no.

  • When you’re paying for a tattoo, you’re not just paying for the inking time. Design time, admin time, materials, and equipment all contribute to the cost. Designing your tattoo takes time, often many hours, prior to the appointment.
